Theatre Visit Thursday 5th July 2012

The Friends’ latest theatre trip was to see Rodgers and Hammerstein’s South Pacific at Leeds Grand Theatre last week. It was a sparkling production with one wonderful song after another – all so well known yet well loved – and two blissful hours of blue skies and blue sea and sunshine, while the rain tippled down on the world outside. Our coach was full and we travelled there with plenty of time to spare and safely back again in the safe hands of our driver, David Atkinson, who is well known to many of us.

As the organizer is going to Sydney at the beginning of September for over two months on a Granny Mission, there may not be anything else in the way of concerts or theatres for a few months unless something can be arranged quite soon or if someone else would like to volunteer?

Please keep watching our new website for news of all our future events.

One of the bonuses of being a Friend is the opportunity to join with other members socially. The chance to see the top rate production of South pacific is a good example. The shared experience, the buzz of chatter and excitement all added to this well-organised trip.
